N-400
I filed my application April 2020. Filed two inquiries, the last inquiry reads “we are unable to move forward with your application until the required background checks have been completed.” Some people filed way later than me 2021 have had their interviews and even their certificates already. should I just file another application?
Any ideas, thanks in advance

The reason is. Most March, April and May files are stuck in somewhere called (SRC or SRF idk) and this place is still closed due the covid. Most people is submitting an inquiry but no response at all. Hope you have good news soon.

Ived been waiting 640 days Filed April 10, 2020. Still waiting my location is Colorado and they are working on cases being filed on September 2020. Its ridiculous because Ived sent so many inquiries and no answer since last year. I have received no letters last year or a call. When I speak to a tier 2 officer they always tell me something different. I have inquired about my case over 10 times eachone with a wait of 30days with no information on my case. One officer told me I would receive a call back never did, another one told me I should have received a letter explaining my delay never did. Last officer told me they are working on the cases as they are being reviewd in the order received. ???Really. So I made an inquiry last month and have not heard back from them. I have no hopes that I will get my test or interview anytime soon.
No need to do a new application as they might reject it and you will loss your money to them. Just wait and be patient your are not alone. There are many people in this page that have been waiting about the same time if not more. I dont want to sue because that would be me putting money out of my pocket and for a simple letter no. Its emotionally stressful to know that they have pulled many cases back due to "COVID" while new cases are being processed way faster. Learning to be happy and not stress over this. Our time will come soon.

Maybe, another option is withdrawal this case and reapply again. Most people who applied in 2021 got an interview or oath ceremony in about 5 months or less.
