I submitted my RFE 102 days ago and on my uscis account under Myprogress app for the longest time it said your case is taking longer than expected. I logged in today and it says my estimated time till they make a decision is 1 week. how accurate is this? I’m so overwhelmed by how long I’ve been waiting for a response. I30 application is at 609 days and I still have not heard back.

@Maria Hernandez We have the same situation. We sent the RFE 4-5 months ago and today the status changed from taking longer than expected to 2 weeks until decision. I’m hoping it’s accurate but my guess is that it can still change at any time because it happened to us in the past.

@Karolina Z Omg I can’t believe that it’s been that long!!! I am so over whelmed with all of this. I really hope that it does not change at all. I have never seen the Myprogress tab actually say an estimated time, for the longest that I can remember it always said that my case was taking longer than expected so when I saw this I got my hope back. I did write a letter to my congressman but they reached out back saying uscis was super vague about where they were with our case. what was your RFE for?

@Maria Hernandez That’s too bad the congressman note didn’t work. We also thought about doing that but we were told that they probably wouldn’t do anything with it sadly. But some people have gotten good outcomes from it so I guess it just depends on who is working the case. Our RFE was for taxes. I didn’t have a long enough tax history here so we had to use sponsor. We sent everything when we applied last year but they said they were missing something. We never actually got to see it though because it was only sent to our lawyer. What was yours for?
