@tanisha Salazar So sorry abt your big loss . 1. call the USCIS hot line now , say “ emergence advance parole “ , it will connect u to a live agent . 2. Tell him / her , yr reason is to attend the funeral of yr mom . 3. They will get u someone to call back and book u a soonest time to go the field office . Very important : only travel within 14 days consider emergency , and they will help . 4. ###they will give u the return call tel number ,save it in yr tel , don’t miss the call . 5. well prepare yr documents , a. yr birth certificate ( showing yr mom’s name ) b. death certificate of yr mom c. any info to show the funeral d. air ticket schedule ( showing to fly within 14 days , and when is yr return date , 4-6 weeks they would allow u ) e. a ID pics f. yr passport and copy g. the application receipt of I485 & I 131 , so they will not charge u for this emergency i131 no worry , they must approve you , this is nothing more critical than this situation. My deepest condolences and all the best to yr application .
