Mr Nobody Aug 21, 2024
@Hamza Abdulsattar how would we know that our case is moved to our local embassy?? are we getting any email or something??
Hamza AbdulsattarAug 21, 2024
@Mr Nobody once you become documentarily qualified your pretty much done with the NVC. They’ll transfer your case to the embassy and put your case in line for an interview. once it’s time for the interview you’ll get an email. at that point the only thing you’ll need to do is go do a medical exam.

@Hamza Abdulsattar brother! what I'm saying how can I make sure that my case is in local (Islamabad) embassy... Is there a way to make sure it, will they send me an email or something
Mrs AnsAug 21, 2024
@Mr Nobody Once your case has been Documentarily Qualified (DQ) by the National Visa Center (NVC), the next step is for your case to be transferred to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your visa interview will take place. Here’s how you can find out if your case has been transferred:
1. **NVC Notification**: The NVC usually sends an email notification to the applicant, petitioner, and attorney (if applicable) when the case has been forwarded to the embassy or consulate. This email will include the date your case was sent and instructions for the next steps.
2. **CEAC Status Check**: You can check the status of your case online through the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) portal. After logging in, you should see a status update indicating whether your case has been transferred. The status might change to "In Transit" when it’s being sent to the embassy, and then to "Ready" when the embassy receives it and is ready to schedule your interview.
3. **Contact NVC or the Embassy**: If you haven’t received any notification and the CEAC portal hasn’t updated, you can contact the NVC directly to inquire about the status of your case. Additionally, you can reach out to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your interview will be held to check if they have received your case.
