my lawyer screw me over.
I got divorced last year while my I-751 was pending my lawyer was supposed to summit my divorced decree and change it to a waiver but I don't believe he did as they never asked for any rfe and now my case is approved

if he waits for the 5 years based on residency and not the 3 years rule based on marriage. will his marriage come up ? @Pretty Patient

At my N400 interview no one asked. It lasted less than 5 minutes. Just submit the divorce decree or marriage certificate (if you remarry) when filing.

@ricka mc it's not a bad thing it's just I don't want any issues when I apply for my citizenship

when you files after 5 years of residency, they won't asked any questions about your marriage. if they ask, just said " we divorced" but you don't have to show anything. 5 years, it's just based on YOU ONLY.
