oh wow. congratulations. was it at NBC? which field office did you apply originally?
King NMay 27, 2022
Thank you. yes it is MSC it’s same as NBC
Hamza lMay 27, 2022
amazing. I sent my application to Chicago field office first. where did you send yours?
King NMay 27, 2022
I sent mine to Albany NY, field office. I think NBC process application faster than any other field. I got my I-131 travel document approved in about 2 months last year.
Hamza lMay 27, 2022
interesting. never know how their process works. I applied in June 2021, irs at the NBC, still nothing.
King NMay 27, 2022
Did you applied based on asylum granted?
Hamza lMay 27, 2022
yes. asylum approved June 2020
King NMay 27, 2022
If you properly filed then there shouldn’t be an issue. Did you already went for your biometrics?
Hamza lMay 27, 2022
they didn’t ask me to do that, they just took it from when I did it for my asylum case.
King NMay 27, 2022
Sometimes if it takes longer than expected you may submit a case incurry letting uscis know that it is out of normal processing time. As I know the normal processing time is 6 months I have never gotten anything than longer than that.
Hamza lMay 27, 2022
you definitely have gotten lucky, I know many people who applied for asylum since 2020 and still waiting. but I’m glad to know there’s hope because of your case. so congratulations and happy for you
King NMay 27, 2022
Thank you so much, I wish you good luck and all the best
so ElsMay 27, 2022
you are really lucky . i applied in texas but the reciepts came from NBC. my attorney said they will transfer it when its the time. i am wondering if I changed my address! to one of the up north cities! is that going to make any difference?!
Dylan JMay 27, 2022
@Yan n Congrats you're extremely lucky. My AP came in after 15 months and it was at NBC. God bless have a great day
King NMay 27, 2022
I heard that cases sent to NBC (or MSC) get transferred to local uscis field where you first filed your application for GC to be adjudicated, that’s what I was expected but all of a sudden this morning my case got approved without any transfer or interview. But regarding changing your address I don’t think it’s a good idea because it will certainly cause delay.
