hi @francisco avelar how long did it take before his case got closed by the immigration judge?

@tas smith it was very simple questions just confirming info on application and I wasn’t required but I’m glad I went and the officer said thank you for coming with him even though you weren’t t required sometimes we also need to confirm info from the petitioner

@wiz kid well it has one of those imposible cases in 2017 he was ordered removed we appealed with BIAs they approved the motion to appeal and last year we asked the judge to close his case in court we had the I-130 -approved he closed it my grandfathers passed so my dad requested a humanitarian parole to go to his funeral and when he came bakc i applied for adjustment of status , this seem impossible but we need to trust and dont give up

Congratulations Francisco. I have a similar case, but on our case is my husband. He was on removal procedings case since 2011. My son it's the petitioner and his I-130 was approved on January 2023 and we went to court on May 2023 and the judge closed his case. So now we sent the I-485 and I-765 on this past August 29.

Before the I-130 approval we went 2 times and the judge didn't want it to close the case. The time of my husband's I-130 to get approved was 13 months.
