why was your case denial at first what really happened?

same issue with my ead extension letter about asking o expired feb 7 2022 and when i talk to the agent they keep telling me same bs your case is within processing time and I told them am about losing my job

I was denied do to divorce can't be found in the record and our answers not correspond

yes, for 3 to 4yrs have been using ead but this time I refiled june they gave me ead extension now 02/10/22 it'll expire

you should get a good lawyer or do the divorce here. a lot of Nigeria going thru that . so you did 2 interview right with the second one stroke

I had divorces but they were all here and that’s why my case was straight forward

they said my wife and I our answers didn't match each other and that my divorce can't be found in the record in lagos then the lagos court gave me response to back it up but at last they denied it and I think the officer isn't happy with where I come from

I will get a lawyer if I were you. Navigating immigration here as a Nigerian with divorce decree from Nigeria is tough. Doing it without a lawyer is a suicide mission as you have found out.

try get a lawyer . i had stroke interview to in dallas clean record and never married before . but because am from Nigeria it 10 month now I did my second interview no news and I had to contact my congress woman to help me out and they working on it . even my lawyer was suprised that we are not approved right away

I hat two divorce already but it was all here but what helped me was that me and my current wife hv a babe. God was good

the same officer did first and second . she just told my wife they need to review the first and second one up till now stuck at review at 10 month . I think she just don’t like Nigeria. hopefully the congress can help

no, we didn't go with lawyer for the second interview and he said that he's done that he's going to represent us for the first interview not the second interview and we have to pay him again and I think some of this lawyer do this job for immigrants to get money because most of them do know their job as a lawyer

been married for 4 plus years and I had to wait for my wife to become a citizen and I file 2020 when she became a citizen

I moved in the state 2015 and married for 5yrs

yes, the same officer did the first and second interview and I pray never to meet with him forever because I think he doesn't like where I came from

I am from Nigeria, you’re not the only one that have issue with divorce certificate. Most people from Nigeria have the same issue. USCIS wasn’t able to verify my customary court divorce certificate, because it’s not online, so to them such certificate is not valid. I submitted all the necessary documents to back up my evidence that the divorce is real since June 2021, I am still waiting for decision. We performed well in our interview, we only have issue with our divorce certificate according to the officer.. I know God almighty will see us through (Amen).

Make sure the divorce was done properly. My husband got his divorce in Nigeria and the lawyer that was handling it in Abuja wasn’t trying to go through it all the right way so we ended up spending more money to have it correctly done, which it took over a year.

please how did you correct it?

Ww ended up having a friend get it done for us and had to wait until the judge came back to sign it to make sure it was legit

can you verify it online? because the court in lagos gave us letter that states that they can come and verify the divorce but they didn't because 2015 divorce isn't in the system

I was denied 2020 since 2017 now I refiled june 2021 we're going for another interview maybe February because they've already sent us letter for the date just waiting to receive it

I would advise you have your divorce done here as soon as possible because USCIS does not acknowledge divorce decree from Nigeria. You can have it done here without any issue depending on the state you are in.

I think some lawyers just depend on your money not to make you succeed n Y some lawyers fight for u no matter what and they make sure your documents looks good before they file it in for u

Texas law allows you to go ahead and do the divorce without having to divorce your current spouse. Talk to a lawyer who will guide you through this process so this case doesnt prolong any longer.

they verify it online they do goto nigeria anymore to certify they have the link even my lawyer did check mine it can't be found but it's in the record there they say then it just record it but now the one they do now they input it in the system
