Hi brother @Baltimore Dude I’m in the same boat, could you please share how did your lawyer get your case dismissed since you don’t have an approved i130? thanks
April 2020Jul 11, 2023
@mohammed m just recently one of my friend got his green card through asylum , he visited his country and came back without any issue. but I’ve doubt sometime Immigration check your activity laters which may cause some issue in future.

@k j sure, my lawyer send me to done my finger print , then he sent my finger print to FBI, after getting back ground check from FBI he sent to Immigration court and request to dismiss my asylum case which took almost 2 weeks.

@Harry Ben did you contact with mayor or congressman, they will definitely help you. I contacted with them couple months ago that’s why Uscis reviewed my case.
April 2020Jul 11, 2023
@jet blue @paul sams @Ola Fak contact with congressman or mayor of your state, they will help you with that.
jet blueJul 11, 2023
@Baltimore Dude we have already tried that he contacts them every month and it’s always the same excuse
Anikiniun 🇳🇬 🇺🇸 Jul 11, 2023
pls anyone that has initialized asylum application and later get green card in other pathway should not travel direct to his or her original country.
k jJul 11, 2023
@Baltimore Dude I don’t understand the process , I have a pending I-130 but the lawyer told me you can’t dismiss your asylum case unless you have i130 approved? @Baltimore Dude
k jJul 11, 2023
@Baltimore Dude did he do Prosecutorial Discretion (PD)?
April 2020Jul 11, 2023
@jet blue did you apply for asylum or i130 ?
April 2020Jul 11, 2023
@Ola Fak if you get your green card through marriage Yes you can travel to your country but you if you get through asylum then I won’t advise you to go to your country till get a passport.
April 2020Jul 11, 2023
@k j my attorney told me the same thing few years ago but this time I shocked too when they dismissed my asylum case,
my work permit is about to be expire and I can’t apply for new work permit till i130 approved. I’m running my own business so I’m not worried about this thing so make sure you have backup plan before you go to dismiss your asylum.

@Baltimore Dude nope
Anikiniun 🇳🇬 🇺🇸 Jul 11, 2023
@Baltimore Dude am talking from experience depends on what you claimed on your asylum application. you can't claimed your life at risk in your country and after Green card you went back to same country.
k jJul 11, 2023
@Baltimore Dude so did you withdraw your asylum case? or your attorney ask for case dismissal in front of the immigration judge based on pending i130 for example or based on tps approved ? or your attorney asked the government attorney for termination? these are three different ways? which one did you do ? thanks
April 2020Jul 12, 2023
@Ola Fak I don’t know then if you still can go to same country if you didn’t claim “Life at risk or threat”.
April 2020Jul 12, 2023
@k j my attorney ask to Government attorney , he approved/Yes first then attorney wait for juege approval, when judge approved then they sent email to my attorney for proof.
April 2020Jul 12, 2023
