@sosa m if you're confident enough then go and face it yourself. The approval is not determined by if you go with lawyer or not. My opinion though

@sosa m I think your attorney wants you to reschedule because she doesn't have any attorney to go with you on that date not because short notice

I've heard that they usually ask questions like what you filled out in your form I-485. But, I think it would be safe for you to go with your lawyer.

@sosa m My advice just like the others , go to your interview, they won’t ask you anything about the abuse, just test and no questions. just go through your I485 application you will be ok. I went to mine without any lawyer and it was in an out less than 20mins. Go with God he brought you this far he’ll see you through to the end. go with confidence do not fear. you got this . these attorneys are shit... it's crazy how u pay for a service and then they telling u bulls about rescheduling knowing damn well, if u reschedule it might be next year

I think they will ask question from I 485 and which one is your field office

@sosa m make sure you have Divorce Decree Certified copy if you didn’t submit it , Memorize the date when you enter the us , revise your i485 Application and you should be good to go , being honest with you lawyer coming to the interview is a waist of time

@sosa m , this is my honest advice. Immigration is on a case by case basis. The fact that someone went without a lawyer and came back without issues does not mean it will be the same for another person. You and your lawyer are the only ones that knows about the details of your case, if you feel it's straightforward, you can try your luck. You don't know the type of officer you will meet in there. There is no manual for interview. During my interview, they wanted to ask about my marriage to the abuser which they stated was within their rights. My attorney stepped in immediately and told the officer that " due to the sensitivity of the case and it's not proper to have such discussions in the presence of minors". The officer agreed and asked that my kids step out of the room that he is done with them. If I were the only one in the room, u wouldn't have such confidence to tell the officer that. During that discussion there was a time my attorney tapped me to stop talking because she felt I was beginning to give too much information. Before we got in the room, I mentioned to my attorney about me studying for my PhD. She said she is glad I told her. Immediately we got in, she told the officer that there has been some life changes, and we would like the update our documents. we spent 15 minutes correcting and updating my i-485 form. Don't be surprised that my 15 year old son was placed under oath and was interviewed. So you never can know what to meet in there. You can go on your own if your attorney is not a dutiful and meticulous one. Whatever decision you make, I wish you all the very best.

@sosa m , Plssssssss, don’t even try to reschedule bcos if you do, USCiS will abandon your file / case. Get Copy of your I-485 and go thru everything. You don’t need an attorney to pass. The Yes and No Questions are the most important aspects. If they ask about your Attorney, tell the Officer that your Attorney is busy with other cases. And by God’s Grace, they will approve your Green Card, Amen

@sosa if I were you, I would go to that interview myself. You have an approved I 360 and the questions should be straightforward unless if you have complicated immigration history. Because sometimes if you reschedule interview with USCIS without humanitarian reasons, it might be very difficult to get another quicker date. Either you go yourself and answer the questions explicitly or you force your lawyer to go with you. You paid him to represent you, he/she should take this opportunity to represent you to the fullest.

@sosa m mine was in san jose field office last week , officers are friendly make sure you revise your application and make sure all what @blessed & favored said is 💯 correct also they will not ask you about the abuse just yes or no and the question anawerd by @blessed & favored

I did not file for divorce yet as my attorney was suggesting that don’t file for it until Vawa gets approved. so I did not filed that yet. Is that necessary for interview?

it was good and he was friendly. he was interviewing by the books just yes or no questions and couple questions on my past records and I went for the interview with attorney.

yes couple of hours later, I found out that case was approved still waiting for card. sometimes USCIS makes error. so I am eagerly waiting for green light.
