You should apply already, I got approved asylum in june last year and filed 485 in august. Waiting for decision

i don’t know who Antony is, but you can do it without him! File your application, make sure it’s consistent with your claim. use USCIS 485 instructions, very helpful. you need Medical, which cost 200-500 depends on the state. if you have proof of your vaccines translate and use them, if not you can get them anywhere. attach your ID,Asylum grant and money order for 1440, you can use multiple money orders. Check the current price because “big beautiful bill” will increase the cost. it’s pretty straightforward and you need just to followe USCIS instructions. good luck and congrats

@Foday Mansaray I agree with @i l you don’t need no Antony lol I personally filed with an attorney, but you can actually file it yourself. It’s not that difficult, @i l explained how to do it.

@Foday Mansaray I filed i485 myself and waited until after 1 year to file. You don’t have to wait that long. Go ahead and file it now. Check for the instructions on USCIS website. It seems medical is no longer required but you need to confirm this.

Many people’s fill out the I-485 by themselves. (even through I did it by myself to save some money, but it’s cost me money, time and rejection, delays). so, the form is complex and can be confusing, and you may risk rejection or delay if you have errors. However, if you fill it out correctly and accurately, then you can save yourself some money. but my opinion is to file with an attorney is very advisable. best of luck

@Khan 804 hope it’s coming this month, I’m hoping at least to get RTD, I need to travel somewhere out of US for few days, haven’t been outside the country since 2012 😂

@God Bless America I have RTD but i am scared to travel without GC when i receive my GC next day my flight, I don’t know anyone travel with RTD and without GC ?? Its safe to travel or no??

@God Bless America @Khan 804 it’s safe. the only problem is that if administration will implement the travel ban and you are from one of the countries, who knows what gonna happen….. i have an RTD, but didn’t go because of that….

@God Bless America I would definitely book a flight somewhere to Amsterdam, Germany, no visa, easy travel. If you don’t have any criminal records of course here in US. I would definitely use it asap, because for instance Europe requires at least 3 months validity, but most countries 6 months and even 1 year, so RTD becomes useless after 5-6 months because uscis give it only for 1 year validity total (((

@i l 😂 damn, I gotta check the list of the countries if I’m in it , also looks like italy doesn’t allow Visa free entry for a RTD, but I mean, you can drive inside of Europe in the car without any inspection, travel to Netherlands or Germany and have a road trip anywhere you like

@God Bless America Itaky is 100% in the list. i’ve verified with the embassy and consule sent me the list. IMPORTANT you can NOT travel within Shenghen if country doesn’t allow RTD without visa…it’s tricky can’t find info, but RTD doesn’t work like Schengen…also any police officer can check your documents and now there are some checkpoints…
