MULTIPLE EAD APPROVAL NOTIFICATIONS BUT NEVER RECEIVE CARD OR TRACKING NUMBER YET
Hello everyone, I’m looking for guidance regarding an issue with my Employment Authorization Document (EAD). My I-765 (EAD) was approved on December 10, 2025, and my Advance Parole (travel permit) was approved on December 11, 2025. I received the travel document in December, but as of February 11, 2026, I have not received my EAD card or any USPS tracking number. Since the approval, USCIS has updated my case status three times, about every 30 days, each time stating “New card is being produced.” However, the status has never changed to “Card was mailed,” and no tracking information has been issued. My attorney already submitted an e-request for non-delivery, but we have not received any response from USCIS so far. Has anyone experienced a similar situation where the case remains stuck in “card being produced” for this long? If so, how was it resolved, and what additional steps would you recommend? Thank you in advance for any advice.

@A chd normally the advance parole and the EAD card are the same. it’s called a combo card. serves as a work authorization and also advance parole. what you are supposed to be checking on is ur social security card. If you don’t have one already

@Liz Nara hey liz, i get it what you’re trying to say but in my case they both are different things EAD and AP they are not approved as a combo card So i received the AP in December but i haven’t received my EAD yet, Also there is no update at all for EAD not even a tracking number. USCIS keeps updating the case status by new card is being produced every 30 days since December 10,2025

@omg omg usually travel documents are for 5 years and it’s not like a book or card it’s just a plane thick white paper just like Notice of action paper.

in your uscis account check the top side of the i-765, if there is a phrase like ‘’concurrent filling’’ that means you will receive combo card once it approves. FYI

This “new card is being produced” loop without ever moving to “card was mailed” is frustrating, but it does happen, especially when the AP arrives and the EAD gets stuck in printing or mail processing. Since it’s been over two months, I’d have your attorney call USCIS and reference the existing non-delivery e-request, ask specifically if the card was ever handed to a mail vendor, and confirm there’s no undeliverable or address issue on file. If you need the card urgently for work, a congressional inquiry can sometimes push a manual review or re-mail. I wouldn’t refile a new I-765 unless USCIS confirms the first card was never issued, because that can create more delays. - Attorney Ana Gabriela Urizar (All information shared here is for general educational purposes only.
