Moving Another State Delay I-485 Process?
Moving Another State Delay Process of I-485?
Moving to another state delay I-485 process?
Hello.
I filed I-485, I-360 (as a widow) and I-765 in December 2022 from Georgia.
I believe a couple of month ago, my cases were transferred to Boston Field Office from National Benefit Center.
Last month I sent my medical RFE and it’s been 3 weeks (There is no acknowledgment of them receiving it).
I may have to move to another state in a couple of months.
If I do move, will my cases be delayed of approving my green card?
I am moving because I don’t have work permit and it is getting hard financially.
Please give me some advices and insights.
Thank you.

it depends where you love honesty field office times vary
Faithful GodAug 14, 2023
@Elsa Carvajal I live in Georgia and my cases are in Boston. They are trying to adjudicate my cases to make a final decision on my I-485. I think that’s why they asked me to send my medical RFE last month.

yes then moving your case this far along your process will only slow down your case
Faithful GodAug 14, 2023
I would assume Boston is adjudicating my green card, not my local office. Not sure if moving to another state will slow down.

yes, slowed me down, 1,6 years later still waiting for interview and nothing, they put you back to end of the waiting line, its B.S.

@kristina k When did you move? What was your process when you moved? My process is almost over, I believe, I recently mailed out my medical to Boston Field Office (which is not my local field office).

we moved from Boston to Rhode Island and then to Calofornia, they scheduled my interview in Providence but we were moving to southern cali, so they cancelled it in January 2022, moved my case to Santa Ana office, and waiting to be rescheduled ever since @Faithful God

@kristina k I am not sure if my interview will be waived.
1. I live in Georgia and my cases are in Boston.
2. I sent my medical RFE to Boston Office last month.
3. I am a widow to US citizen.
Do you think my interview will be waived?
