I’ve been in this exact situation before, so I understand how confusing it feels. What usually happens is that once NVC schedules the interview, the U.S. Consulate in Nigeria sends the official interview instruction email (often called the “Packet”) separately. That email can take a few weeks, and sometimes it even goes to spam. I strongly recommend checking your spam/junk folder daily.

That said, you don’t have to just wait. You can log into the CEAC portal to confirm your interview status and start preparing the required documents now, medical exam, police certificate, civil documents, and proof of relationship, depending on your visa type. which is your visa type? #uscis #nvc

isn't Nigeria banned from immigrant visas? I believe partial ban which allows NON immigrant visas. Could be wrong.

Spousal visas for Nigerians are currently suspended under the U.S. travel ban that took effect on January 1, 2026.
