medical RFE non local FO Fort Smith AR
just received my medical RFE and need to send to FO Fort Smith in Arkansas. anyone with expenrience with this FO?
I also received a text message from the uscis to expedite my I-693 and ship it asap. they said they want to approve the cases by oct 1 2023! good luck all

that’s what they said in my RFE too but the case went to case remains pending after submitting medical RFE

@Suzy K it is impossible. 9 months of this fiscal year has been overwhelming. so many 485 in the queue. it is going to crp for many folks

you’re probably right, but it seems they are working on cases filed in 2023 more than those filed in 2022, 2021 and 2020

here is what I received by email this week “USCIS has issued Requests for Evidence (RFEs) to a number of applicants for employment-based adjustment of status (including those adjusting as Special Immigrant Juveniles), requesting a valid medical clearance (Form I-693). Please note that, although applicants have up to 87 days to respond to the RFE, USCIS is urging them to respond with all requested documents as soon as possible (and not wait the entire 87-day period), so that we may adjudicate the case and, if approvable, allocate an immigrant visa before October 1, 2023. Here’s how: return the complete RFE response to the address on the RFE notice. USCIS accepts responses sent by mail (including overnight and other priority options), commercial services, and courier. No further action required if you already responded.”
yes I was surprised as well regarding the approval by October, 1st
I don’t know why I can’t post my I-485 timeline, but I filled concurrently with my I-140 on Feb, 13 2023.
My petition has been transferred to NBC on July 27th and received the RFE this week.

@caro caro thanks a lot for pasting the message as it is. I understand now that talking about 1Oct is little different from an their date. they just want to avoid wastage. but I always have wonder, there are 200k pending 485 so why they have to be waste visa number waiting for 693.
