Medical Experience
Hey everyone, I figured I’d share my husband’s experience at his medical exam in Frankfurt, Germany. We arrived 1 hour earlier than our appointment time, and they took us early. First, my husband was given a number. This is the order in which they call you back for initial paperwork. You give the lady your DS-260, 4 passport photos, your passport, vaccination history, and any medical notes from your doctor. After that, they take the urine sample. Then, they do an x-ray of your chest. Then comes the blood test. After all of the those things, the doctor calls you into the exam room. There, your blood pressure and temperature are taken. After, an eye exam is performed (read the smallest line that you can). After the eye exam, my husband was instructed to remove all of his clothing other than his underwear. The doctor then examined his body for any unusual rashes and whatnot. He was due for an updated tetanus shot so that was given to him shortly after. The doctor then finished the physical exam + vaccination, and my husband put his clothes back on and was told to drop off the exam paperwork to the lady up front. There, he paid a total of 485€. We were in the clinic for about 2 hours maximum. My husband was told he’d soon receive an email with a bill for the labs. I guess he still has to pay more… It’s been 2 days since my husband’s medical appointment, and he still has not received the email. He also never received results. Will he get his results soon? Just curious as to what we should expect. Thank you everyone, and best of luck on your journeys. 😊🙏 #cr1 #ir1 #medical #frankfurt #experience
