this is just a courtesy letter, don’t send it, bring your medical to your appointment

not all interviews for EBs are waived. if they didn’t tell you to send it— there is a grater chance for you to have an interview. For EB they don’t send courtesy letter unless an interview is needed.

ask doctor for 2 sealed copies and send one of them. include the receipt and this letter along with medical. An extra copy can be free and at other places i have seen $50 more.

@Perla is that Additional Evidence requested? if so, you didn’t submitted your I693 during filing of I485., Do it as soon as possible your I693. they adjudicate your soon once they receive your response. A courtesy copy means the orginal notice of RFE sent to your lawyer thats why you received a courtesy copy.

Hi guys received an update of my case anotherr additional RFE. My first additional RFE was my Medical? Do you think what is the another RFE?

me too. same notice. but I wasn't able to receive the notice by mail, my lawyer's office is the one who informed me. He said to do the I-693 medical and send it back as early as possible to the address on the right upper in the letter. So I did it. I sent my medical RFE today. I'm also Nebraska SC. hope this help. @perla yes. I sent it with the letter and the sealed envelope from the Civil Surgeon office.

@all we also received the letter last week mentioning send it if you have not already send it... but we submitted our medicals at original package... My lawyer told us that dont need to do anything at this point...

update: My I-140 was approved yesterday! took them 11 months. regular processing, not premium. still no word on work permit and advance parole…

yes. I sent my medical to Nebraska SC and until no update with my I-485 case, but good thing I received my combo card.

update: I-765 and I-131 approved!!! filing date: Nov 20, 2020. Took 11 months and 1 day.

@ronald, nov 20! I cant believe how delayed they are!!! you should have already gotten your papers.

@NP, I did it but did not submit it to USCIS. they didn’t ask me for it for the EAD application but they might for the greencard. I also heard they aren’t asking for it all the time but I’m not sure since everything is so inconsistent…

@NP, I am not sure to be honest. I hear some people they ask them for it, others they dont. but I feel like if you are US-educated, then what’s the point? I can understand them asking for it if you were educated outside the US hopefully they dont ask you for it. if you do want to go ahead and do it, I recommend you do it soon because it takes a while to finish the certificate.

I am not sure if I will have time I submitted my medical almost 2 months ago… I am 10 days away… from that 60 days… if they really process 60 days after medical

I sent them my license, and they have a copy of my diploma as well—- they had asked for it, so I am not sure if they will ask for it

Hi @Perla, I know this is an old post but wanted to ask. I'm on a similar situation with the courtesy letter. My I-140, EAD, travel authorization were all approved this year (2022), but my petition (including the I-485) were filed in 2021. I got this same letter September last year and actually I have the exams ready to be sent. I don't if I should have waited to get an actual RFE instead of just sending the I-693 with this courtesy letter.
