medical exam i 693
I had my biometrics on August 13, 2021 and my status is “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” since then.
When should I do the medical exam? it takes a month to find an appointment so I keep rescheduling just in case the certification expires. Does it expire? Thanks in advance!

you can do the exam, get your shots and blood test just hold off on the signing part until you know your interview date.

do the bloodwork and vaccinations now with your primary care physician and keep the reports ready. once interview date is confirmed go to the civil surgeon with reports and get i693 signed and sealed

Do you know what vaccines they require ?
Srikanth ReddySep 15, 2021
Medical Examiner will let you know what all required. I had to do every single one since i didn’t have any records of my vaccinations.

look at the table in this cdc link - depends on your age - don’t be taken for a ride by the doc https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/civil-surgeons/vaccinations.html

first a blood test needs to be done to see if you already have immunity to the particular virus. if you do the vaccine is not needed. if no immunity then vaccine is needed for that
Waiting PatientlySep 15, 2021
they do a blood panel anyway so you don’t need vaccine records
