if it’s a marriage base case you can not be self sponsor. it’s not going to be an issue but you have to admit that under the inadmissible question

what is inadmissible question?
O JNov 1, 2021
the yes or no question in the i485 application form. one of the questions is have you ever received any government assistance?

Basically I think N I is trying to say that his income was the main source when the i485 was filed. You are allowed to count your income if it going to be a continued source. I don't think that you personally, N.I, will be eligible to apply for these government benefits. Your wife and kids are eligible however. If you use these benefits for yourself personally, I think someone will have to pay the government back.

I thought they got rid of the public charge rule under Biden and it was posted on the uscis a few months back? plz check with a lawyer but I think ur ok

yes there is no more public charge rule but some of the questions on the public charge form have been incorporated into the i485 form
Mrs. PilgrimNov 2, 2021
The public charge rule is still in effect, but parts of it has been changed. It's something about a public charge is a person that receives government benefits for 12 months over a 36 month period. Just check with an attorney to be safe.
