my brother came across the border and apply for asylum he has court next year October can he get married to a green card holder and that person can petition for him or it has to be a us citizen

They can petition, but it’ll take a long time. My MIL petitioned her husband and it took him 5 years before he was approved for his green card. Every case is different.
