@favor me👩🏽💼 here's my advice from my learning, research and posts from others. you will be happy if you dont expect anything for 1.5 years from your priority date in houston for i-485. Thats the realistic expectation in houston. if you get earlier, thats amazing and happy for you. but i know the pain of checking for updates everday.

how long did it get for them to update the process timeline after your wife became a citizen? i heard it takes up to 6months

@Good Luck you said that you started on the f2a category and then your wife became a citizen. how long did it get for uscis to update it? because its a different timeline for f2a and ir1

@an an i am not sure. after we submitted amendment which is to consider my case as spouse of us citizen rather than LPR. we haven't received any confirmation that they received my amendment. only on the day of interview my officer said they see that we sent amendment and asked questions to my wife about when she got naturalized etc...
