following this thread as I’m interested in the answers. As far as EAD did you continue to renew based on asylum or did you process the EAD with the marriage GC forms?

My friend did. They did not ask her anything in regards to her asylum. Her interview was all about the marriage

my asylum based EAD got expired after a couple months when I applied for GC. since I haven’t received ead through marriage, I’ve applied for renewal based on asylum so it gives me extra 180 days to work, since I can’t just quit my job.. hope that’s helpful

so that means that you currently have two pending EAD applications. I’m debating whether or not I should send the EAD application for the marriage GC or just stick to the asylum one. I will submit the asylum one for sure to get the 180 days. I’m a bit concerned about the delays. hopefully it will go well 🙏🏼

correct, I have both pending. I was hesitated as well, but I thought that the marriage based gc process would be much faster.. but you know there is always a delay. I hope it all goes well for you 🙏🏻

how long have you been waiting for both EADs?

I’ve applied for marriage based one back in September 2021, and I’ve applied for asylum one back in December 2021. haven’t received any of them :(

I have a pending asylum case since 2015 . I applied for GC based on mariage. my EAD base on asylum is going to expired on April 7 and my AED card base on mariage is being produced as I receive a notification yesterday

when you filed the EAD for marriage did you also apply to renew your EAD for asylum? Did USCIS notify you which EAD you ultimately want to get?

@ JP GC I didn’t apply to renew for EAD for asylum.

so do they ask about the asylum on marriage based interview if you have pending asylum application.
