From my experience, the government requested a 45-day extension, and I agreed. After two weeks, my interview was scheduled. I attended the interview, and one week later, my case was approved.

@Zkoria z I actually filed my mandamus pro se, without an attorney, so I can’t personally recommend a lawyer or give you an attorney cost. I only paid the court filing fee and my service/mailing expenses. $11K sounds much higher than what I paid doing it myself.

I can recommend Jeelani Law — they filed a mandamus lawsuit for my I-730 case. I paid $5,000, plus an extra $1,000 for a win guarantee. Anyway, I got my case approved yesterday

@Marvin Mejia good luck brother. i filled WOM on 17 june and summons were served on 01 July and yesterday government file for 30 days extension which was granted by the judge. And my interview is already scheduled.

I filed a WOM. govt filed an MTD arguing that 19 months is not an unreasonable delay. My attorney filed an opposition to the MTD, waiting to govt attorney to response. my application has been pending 20+ months.

@Wise Man Yes brother. The government agreed to a 30-day extension to adjudicate my I-485. Now I’m waiting for the judge to approve the extension and hopefully USCIS will take action on my case within those 30 days. 🙏

Entiendo perfectamente porque yo también pasé por lo mismo: hice consulta con el congresista y me dijeron básicamente que siguiera esperando. Después decidí presentar un Writ of Mandamus por mi cuenta (pro se). Si quieres, escríbeme y con gusto te explico cómo inicié el mío, los documentos que presenté y los pasos que seguí. No soy abogado y cada caso es diferente, pero sí puedo compartir contigo mi experiencia para orientarte un poco. 🙏⚖️
