Please I need expert opinion or personal experience if I should file mandamus to get interview since I am pending in USCIS from December 2017

I just got my interview scheduled, filed on March 2017. I think you will get notice for an interview in months, maybe before. Good luck

@Sh sh : Waiting is not guaranteed that you'll get an interview soon. 2017 is a long time to wait. If I were you, I would find an attorney to sue USCIS.
