Mandamus Process
hello dear community,
I wanted to get some insights on the mandamus process.
- how long did you wait to get a response?
- could it negatively effect your case?

personally about 4 months , when it reach 4 months my status changed to case was transfer to another office, my mandamus was for i601a !

i have not seeing some people that they got a response within 30 days. others within 60 days and within 90 days so I guess it all depends on the location and what is the case for .I’ve been reading a lot of comments here and I haven’t seen anyone that has good luck with that like Fast . I’m also still waiting. i filled for my I485. to me, it doesn’t make any sense to pay all this money and they still take the sweet time. just to get a response back. like really is a joke.

yari beba my lawyer send the notice of intent to file mandamus against the uscis attorney general it’s been 80 days no response,he told it usually works without litigation (federal court) if he doesn’t work he’ll go to court .my is I 130 family base since 2018 no interview nothing.did you filled mandamus? how long ??

nickon zabra we want to interview three years ago right when Covid started and we didn’t get a response back on to the beginning of this year 2/2023 yes not joke I am married to a USA citizen they deny the I 485 & we send it the mandamus 1 month already but to be honest, they say that it’s 60 or 90 days I haven’t seen too many cases they get approved that fast so I’m not sure what is going on…

sub saba no nothing yet still waiting it has being 70 days with no update on the case!! is very sad!
