Mandamus Lawsuit#
It’s have been 10 months since USCIS received my response for rfe medical no approval or interview. Today I have hired a lawyer for mandamus lawsuit.. I have made inquiries myself and with congressman all replies are non sense. last I was told my 485 is in nyc field office , any one else in the same situation here please share your experience thank you in advance

I am in the same boat. VAWA approved nov 2024, sent letter to my local office where i485 is being held in abeyance with i360 approval letter and medicals. inquiry done with senators and congressman ( same generic response that my case is pending and In queue)
May God help us all with our approval this week.

@a n Why cant you file for Expedite of your I-485 since you expedited your VAWA Approval. Use the same documents or Letter to apply for expedition of I-485

@GOD HAVE MERCY my mother passed away last August , I see people expandite request getting rejected for family emergency reasons I was expecting to get approved in December but nothing happened

@lady Rose last update I got is after congressional inquiry was it’s in NYC field office. lawyer said mandamus will be filed next week

You may file mandamus as pro se. Do youtube search "writ of mandamus pro se" many people found help from there.

@a n I’ve heard people say they issue unnecessary RFE when mandamus is involved. they could be asking for something you already provided just to buy time.
I’m hoping it’s something you can get easily.

@a n if you are VAWA Applicant, you won’t need I-864, but the exemption which is Form I-864w

@GOD HAVE MERCY they no longer h have form I-864w online. They ask for page 8 chapter 3 of i485 new one and proof of vawa approved. I hope you all get approved soon
