Lost ID for interview
Hello everyone. my wife lost her wallet which had her Identification documents like State ID in it. she is the US citizen. we have our interview in about two weeks and might not be able to receive the new card before then. Can she use her passport as a form of identification during the interview? Thanks

passport is a form of identification and it is a government issued identification document so I think she can use it and also she can apply for new drivers licenses and won’t take up to a week for her to receive the new one..

it takes more than 2 weeks for a new drivers license but passport should be good for ID. if they want proof you live at the same address id be prepared with some documents showing your address

usually after applying for a new state ID, they give you a temporary ID the same day (it’s sometimes a piece of paper). you can try bringing that along with the passport/call USCIS to see if that would be acceptable

they always need an ID showing the same address as you, and the renewal paper ID should be acceptable if the card is delayed. ID usually comes in the mail in less than 2weeks.

if she has picture copy of it. She can take it along as proof & take the new paper copy she was given at the DMV office as well with her passport and birth certificate. Hopefully that will help.
