Long way to approve
I tried all my best to makes my case move but even just EAD took almost one year and Advance Parole almost 1,5 years. just found out from congress man my form i-485 been adjudicated but somehow since the visa bulletin is not current so USCIS can’t produce my card. Yesterday I went to federal building at my city cause I have appointment to process my parole since my dad sick. One day before i tried to contact them to expedite my i-485 and they declined it at the first place since my dad isn’t passed away. they said it isn’t the reason for expedite my case. While i talked with the representative at the federal building she told me actually my case is ready and she said she want to write something so i can stay outside the US longer cause with parole only max 40 days. The lady also told me they might give me decission between 3 to 10 days. i tho it was for greencard and I’m so Happy at that time also they put me on “a new permanent resident without card’ list during my visit. Till today i saw on my account my i-131 got approved and that’s it. Ok at least I try even tho it’s still long way to go till I get my green card in hand.

so what is status of your i485 in your online account? does it say it's pending, actively review or something like visa is not available?

my pd is March 2022, I got my combo card after a year andy i130 approved 8months ago at the same time of approval of i130 I got rfe for my i485 and they received my rfe on Jan 2023 and it's been 8 months and no update after that. do you think that's the same reason that they didn't approve my case? congressman is following my case every months and they just tell them that the case is in normal processing time .no more information

@sam shirahoo while my I-130 got approved on June 15 my I-485 changed to actively review for the second time. if the visa bulletin was current I might get my greencard on my hand but sadly there’s combo retrogression this year.

@Lulla Ycr when my i130 got approved I got rfe for i485 if they didn't send rfe I could get approval of i485 because the time was current . I actually send rfe online right away but they didn't look at it until the bulletin went back. it's very frustrating 😔

Hi!! I’m so glad you got your parole approved. I’m in the same situation but it’s my grandma. I’ve been a wreck because I lost one of my grandmas last year before coming to the US and now my other grandma is very sick. my 130 and 765 were approved in the beginning of the year and I’m so scared of losing my grandma. On top of that, I also have my own wedding cerimony scheduled for April in my home country. a party that we have been spending hundreds of thousands and I’m concerned we’re gonna lose all this money and moment.
Could you tell me how you got to expedite it please? I’m desperate

@sam shirahoo that sad. I also got RFE for my I-485 back then in November 2022 if the lawyer send it ASAP it might be different story but it’s ok that’s life let’s holding hand and sad together 😢
@Taynara Hudson just call USCIS phone number then say info pass and you can talk with the representative, good luck!

@Lulla Ycr yeah I'm just waiting for October visa bulletin to see if it moves.
