Latency in I-129F Processing
Any ideas on what to expect. Case has gone almost 9 months and it doesn't appear to be any end in sight.

I have been waiting also about 8 months and nothing yet ☹️
Keith GJan 12, 2022
I contacted local reps (Congressmen and Senators) to see if they take a look into the backlog.
Viktoriia CJan 12, 2022
I have been waiting 253 days😢😢😢
menuka parsaiJan 12, 2022
I’m 307 days and nothing yet 😭
Keith GJan 12, 2022
Has anyone done an inquiry since the case is outside of normal processing timelines? I did that and also contacted the Ombudsman and still have not heard anything.
Gabi StubbsJan 12, 2022
I’m in the same boat as you. Same date. Just waiting….
Gabi StubbsJan 12, 2022
Submitted an inquiry, and they wrote me back some stupid stuff telling me I’m not the petitioner or applicant.😑
Keith GJan 12, 2022
Did anyone send in the requested documents before receiving a RFE?

I'm from April 9th. how do it get over to an agent when calling USCIS?
C
Chddy swsJan 12, 2022
I'm also going to try a congressional inquiry next week
N
N AJan 12, 2022
we all should call our representatives. tell everyone about it and let us do it together this weekend.
Rodrigues Oliveira isabelleJan 12, 2022
we are from the same day as NOA1 and still waiting for this approval
Keith GJan 12, 2022
I watched a YouTube post today that in December 2019 USCIS was processing cases from 3 April "K Visa Processing Time 2021 (December).
Keith GJan 12, 2022
Correction December 2021
Keith GJan 12, 2022
Not sure how accurate that is

The second video notes that USCIS is processing petitions from 25 April 2021.
C
Chddy swsJan 13, 2022
I just watched it. they get these dates from the processing times posted on uscis but worded as case status inquiry date.
C
Chddy swsJan 13, 2022
and don't forget that uscis just pushed the pressing times to 9.5 months just days ago
Keith GJan 13, 2022
I saw that too indicating that in two months we could see it go from 9 to 11.5 months. Good analysis though
Antony TJan 13, 2022
they update the processing times on their site at the beginning of esch month. the processing times sre an aggregate of the last six months of data. so the numbers going up month by month over the last few months means they are falling further behind. I also checked the other service centres today and found that only Cali is processing K1/K2 visas. i believe that last time i checked, Vermont was also but they had much longer times. perhaps they shifted all the k1/k2 workload to Cali which is slowing everything down? this is just speculation
C
Chddy swsJan 13, 2022
that's good speculation. like I said earler I'm going to do a congressional inquiry next week and everybody should maybe they think that fiance visas isn't a top priority for them
Keith GJan 13, 2022
thanks for the info on the congressional inquiries. I'm planning to do one as well now that you mentioned it. https://www.uscis.gov/congress/congressionalweb-portal/congressional-web-portal

USCIS congressional liaisons are committed to providing meaningful and timely responses to Members of Congress and their staff. To do so, we follow the following guidelines to help ensure that we satisfy our commitment and your expectations: • Telephone Inquires – Are best used when dialogue requires or when emergency situations exists that requires immediate attention. Congressional offices can typically expect a response by close of business next day. However, telephone access may be impacted by workforce changes due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. • Email Inquiries – Are great for simple status check and requests regarding USCIS policies and procedures. Congressional offices can typically expect an acknowledgement or response within five (5) business days and resolution within 30 calendar days. • Written Inquiries – Are recommended when a case is complicated, and USCIS will need to review documents. Written inquiries should be limited in number, as they take longer to resolve. Congressional office should expect a response within 30 calendar days.

any news?
Keith GJan 13, 2022
Sorry posted to the wrong chat. Nothing yet but talking to others 14 months was the wait time for some during the height of COVID-19 before receiving their visa. I'm preparing for the long haul and at least I have a better idea of what to expect. I was hoping for visa in hand by 10 months but after some discussion that doesn't seem likely.
Keith GJan 13, 2022
Especially after contacting a number of representatives, i.e. congressman and senator.
C
Chddy swsJan 13, 2022
I hope for the best for all of us and speedy visas

Chddy swsJan 14, 2022
guys! does anyone know how to get to an agent while calling uscis? this is frustrating
N
N AJan 14, 2022
go to their website and use ask Emma then ask for that. it is just live chatting.
C
Chddy swsJan 14, 2022
Emma is useless. talking to a live agent over the phone is better. I tried Emma chat last time and both agents where clueless and rude. I believe there is something to say that prompts the machine to transfer you to a live agent
N
N AJan 14, 2022
maybe the word officer?
C
Chddy swsJan 14, 2022
I don't think so. I use to say the word expedite then it took me to an agent bit it doesn't work anymore 🙃
N
N AJan 14, 2022
i think they ran out of reasons to why they are insanely late. guilty and they are hiding:)

oh ok thank you. i think the Afghanistan one was serving in military. they do it fast.
Keith GJan 14, 2022
Really, service in the military gets a quicker expedite? Thanks for sharing the link.
N
N AJan 14, 2022
i believe they get engaged while serving overseas and their applications go through the military. i guess they are considered special cases.
C
Chddy swsJan 14, 2022
no they are giving afghans special treatment due to the us military sudden withdrawal that caused a mess. my own analysis btw. look at the uscis website. the afghan crisis is on top of the page
Keith GJan 15, 2022
interesting thanks for the heads up. I had no idea.
