L2S visa concurrent filing but RFE on 765
hi y’all.
I just got an RFE on my i765. however I am a L2S holder an have been from the beginning.
has anyone else experienced that?
we filed concurrent last year November/December.
our i140 has been approved. our i485 has been transferred to NBC June 26 (we haven’t heard anything about biometrics and such yet)
we’re ROW.
so for this part it’s just a waiting game which is okay I guess.

patience - my husband got it to. but he’s an l1a so we think it’s a mistake. since he literally has employment through his visa.

@add g we got transferred to NBC lees summit. which I gather from reddit and such is normal. I haven’t been able to find any sustainable tracking history on the biometrics. we’ll contact our lawyers and ask.

@m H In our case, primary’s i765 approved, but waiting for the spouse’s I765 aporoval. Same L2S and similar timeline

@Blueridge 456 I’m happy to hear that! my husband got the REF for i765 too. so we’ll see what the lawyer says. the actual papers will be ages out in the mail lol

update for anyone interested.
we finally we received our biometrics appointment. letter was sent august 18, we got it Friday September 1, and the appointments are at September 5 at 1 PM. however, my husband is going on a business trip so he had to reschedule. mine I had to reschedule to Wednesday at 8 AM. I probably won’t receive their new notice before that. but I’ll take my chances so we the letter arrived Friday up to a long weekend.

get your social security number and under L2S you can work if you want to. Don’t wait for EAD. My wife was on that status so is a personal experience

I already have an ssn and a job. on my 3rd job even 😂 so that’s not even an issue. turns out our lawyers “forgot” to submit the passport photos we sent with the paper……..
