At this point, I don't know what to do with my case at the end of 2017 I applied for immigration benefits in April 2019 USCIS contact me regarding my interview they schedule my interview on June 3. When I get there that day the officer told me they don't have all my field and they are going to reschedule my interview since that day I never received any letters regarding my interview from USCIS. when I call they told me they doing a background check.
but I renew my EAD CARD (working permit) every year with no problems, but I'm wondering why is taking too long to get my interview
Can someone explain me what USCIS looking when they doing a background check? I never get arrested or anything and I know before they give you the EAD card they run your background check so I'm lost
what is the best option to move on with this problem ?
thanks

you should call Uscis and ask what's going on with you case and tell them 120 days past due long time ago.tell them you need an appointment in the field office to ask what's going on
that is gonna trigger any notice they have and probably they gonna give you a decision or they gonna schedule another interview

Hello Cdi. I think you must contact Ombudsman and fill a free online application with them for case assistance. this sill difinitly move your case.
before that it could be a good idea to submit case inquiry and the USCIS will respond to you
