k1 visa
is the time line accurate for cases taking 6-8 months of processing time for k1 visas to get approved ? I applied in august of 2021 and it says your application will most likely be processed January 16 2022 what does that mean

Every case is different. 6-8 moths just at USCIS, if approved then they would forwarded to NVC and NVC to your embassy. Mine was approx. 11 months overall - filled in August 2020.

Yes, our wedding was in late July 2021 and we submitted the adjustment of status in September.

oh congrats !! so you were able to bring your partner inside the US by July already did it take a while to get the interview or what month was the interview

thank you!!! I am actually the immigrant, I believe it took like 3 months to get the actual interview - Covid season. I have been in the US since July 15 and happily married since July 23.

oh that’s very exciting I was just curious and trying to get a timeline of when my fiancé’s case would be complete for him to come to the US

Hello, Sorry for the late response. I did not use this app during my K1, I and my wife met online in 2009, met in person in July 2020, Engaged in July 2020, the petition recieved by USCIS on August 7, 2020, Approved on Feb 23, 2021, I don’t remember when NVC sent it to the embassy but I believed it was May (I was a part of a lawsuit against the travel ban from the EU), did my Medical in late May/June, passed the Embassy interview on June 21, visa issued on June 23, flight to the US on July 14 via Lisbon - they refused to onboard me despite the embassy confirming that I was not subject to the travel ban, another flight in the morning from Brussels - I boarded and admitted to the USA in Chicago on July 15, the wedding was on July 23, 2021 and the application to adjust the status recieved on Sep 23, Biometrics on Oct 25 and no update sice then. we got our recvd on April 5, 2021. its been 281 days waiting for an approval..sent inquiry but no answerin the email that USCIS sent..very frustrating
