mine is 9

The purpose of the post was that they eliminated processing centers that process K1's down to one. This will effect everyone'stimeliness. I remember when I filed it was 5 to 8 months. This what is holding everyone who filed a K1 up. It's self evident that K1 visas are no longer a priority

If it is 9 months, according to the new timeline, 9.5 months is the new time. This is infuriating.

when I call USCIS they tell me 7 to 9 .5 months I don't understand the 9 .5 months

I hope someone knows the answer to this because why would they go from more than 1 service center to just 1?? 😭 it doesn’t make sense to me

From what I have seen on other posts about others that have done this, it hasn't done any good. The best thing to do is somehow get someone on the phone. I have seen posters that have done this, but there is a certain way to get someone on the phone

Vermont and California usually process the K-1. Is it now only California?

Yes Jessica. Check the USCIS site. Vermont only does K3 and K4:now

I wonder if the nearly 100,000 refugees from Afghanistan or nearly 2 million illegal immigrants turning themselves into our system asking for asylum has overloaded the system, so they are reallocating their resources.

yeah that's probably true and one of multiple reasons why it's taking longer. I wish Bidens administration would do something to help catch up on the backlog so people can reunite with their loved ones.

The previous administration was scrutinizing these petitions more. I heard from a immigration attorney that they were checking previously APPROVED petitions twice. Among other things that made legal immigration more cumbersome

Vermont only process applications with a bad background

Fiorella, how do you know that Vermont is processing applications with complicated & bad background ? So does that mean when other service centers have tough bad background applications then they send them to Vermont ? Don't think that's accurate..

JJ P I think she is partially right. I have seen threads where they say that Vermont gets transferred "complicated" cases. And it takes longer there. And I think I remember seeing that Vermont processed K1's there at one time and it was MUCH LONGER. But now it's not showing up at all as a center that processes K1's

And I just looked today and they pushed the estimates AGAIN to 9 to 12 months. What are they doing???!😡😠🤬

This saddens me so much.. They stated my case would take 10 months and it just kept increasing from there... Now its a 15.5 estimated time to process K1 cases now.. I filed in Dec 23 2021

We actually got approved on October 7th. Now we are awaiting the case number from NVC.

My NOA1 was August 2nd. So 14 months and 5 days
