k1 fiancé visa approved on Monday May 23rd.
Hello to all of the Lawfully community, today 98 days ago on May 23 our k1 fiancé visa was approved and we have not received any type of notification or letter, is anyone going through something similar waiting for the welcome letter? Or does anyone know roughly how long it takes for them to give you the interview at my fiancé's embassy? My fiancé is from Mexico, thank you and I hope that soon we all receive good news 🙏🤝

hi!! i have filed back in july of 2021 and all i get that my case is processing normally. Its getting annoying. Now on the uscis website all it says is 13.5. im tired of waiting
A AAug 22, 2022
I’m july too I called them they said my case is within processing time and I can submit inquiries in October
marisa salinasAug 22, 2022
that's wat was told to me too but they've been saying that for awhile now. August was when we were to submit any inquiries and now its October. its a lil frustrating
Jessica VAug 22, 2022
It all depends on your embassy and when they let NVC know that they’re ready for your case.
marisa salinasAug 22, 2022
should I call NVC? my future husband is in the dominican Republic
Jessica VAug 22, 2022
I believe you can’t call NVC anymore. Right now it’s only through email, so I would say email them.
marisa salinasAug 22, 2022
oh ok sounds good!! I hope I can get some answers
A EAug 22, 2022
My fiance is also in the Dom Rep, and we're still waiting for the welcome letter, I been sending inquiries every week to see if I get a response from NVC
marisa salinasAug 22, 2022
it is sooo frustrating not knowing anything and it seems like its not moving anywhere
Aastha BhandariAug 24, 2022
Currently NVC is creating cases for August 2022. You should send an inquiry!

marisa salinasAug 24, 2022
wow so they forget about the ppl in 2021 then?
Matt RAug 24, 2022
Marisa, I believe the link Aastha posted is the State Department site. If you haven’t gotten your second Notice of Approval yet, your case is still at USCIS.
I imagine you will get approval soon in September 2022 but hopefully sooner. Once it’s done at USCIS, it will be sent to the NVC with a August or September 2022 date (for example) and processed at the link Aastha posted. Hope that clears it up.

m r, it clear it up a lil justvwish it could go faster

A EAug 27, 2022
Have you sent an expedite?
Erwin LopezAug 28, 2022
Hello @ A E. I understand that this does not apply for the k1 fiancé visa
A EAug 28, 2022
I sent one on Friday and I got a response today, you should send one too since your is about to expire and they are now working on approvals that they received on August 3rd
Erwin LopezAug 28, 2022
Hi @ A E. yeah i know, i should try it, your case is also a k1 fiancé visa?? I understand and my concern is that the k1 fiancé visa does not apply to be xpedite, I do not know what to do now, I am confused now
A EAug 28, 2022
Yes, my case is also a K1, I received my Noa 2 last month, NVC told me that they received my case and once they enter my info they will send me a welcome letter.
Erwin LopezAug 29, 2022
@A E. thanks for that information, and how did you do it? what were the steps for xpedite?
A EAug 29, 2022
You'll need to email them to NVCEXPEDITE@state.gov on the subject line enter your receipt # from USCIS. Start composing your email writing your name along with your DOB telling them that you're the Petioner and than enter your fiancee name with the DOB and tell them that he or she is the Applicant. Explain them the situation that your case was approved back in May and you still received the Welcome letter and that the approval from USCIS will expire on Sep. make sure you attach a copy of your I-797 Notice.
