Just Venting
I am just venting about my spouse in a place I know that he cannot see. So, our case was approved one year ago in May 2024 after waiting two years for the I-130 to be accepted. I immediately submitted all of my NVC documentation, however my husband screwed around for months getting his documents ready. Every time I’d check, which was weekly, he’d have some excuse. Because of his laziness, he didn’t submit all of his required documents until April 2025!! Nearly one whole year!! We just got DQ on May 5 for Montreal and of course we’re going to have to wait at least another 4 months for an interview date. After this is all said and done, it’ll have been a four year process. Am I wrong for being angry at him? I’ve never told him this either because what’s the point? I’m just tired of my life being on hold because of him.

Hey Austin, not really sure the dynamics of your relationship but what I do know is that for some people especially people living outside the US (myself included) a lot of these requirements are a lot to deal with, I also understand your frustrations it must not be easy having to carry the load alone. Hopefully you can communicate how you feel about the situation to him directly and move forward in your relationship x
Times like these do put a strain on relationships I totally get it.

Waiting is too hard, my husband didn't want to fill the form in the beginning and all he said is we are not on a hurry. We are married for 2 years but my pd is June 2024 I feel u .Its like u are burning but he doesn't care they are so fucking weird just be patient and everything is gonna be alright .

I am at the NVC stage and I uploaded my documents and my wife's documents too. Of course I worked with my wife to gather all her documents and I uploaded everything. After that, I made copies for myself and mailed all the originals to her, because she will need them for her interview. Let him scan you his part of the documents and do it from here. If he misses the interview then you know why.
