Just some thoughts
Im starting to think that we need an Immigration therapist, not Immigration lawyer. Reading all the sad stories here and on Reddit, makes me think that this process will never end.
You can submit an Expedie request, but it takes them eternity to get back to you - if that ever happens. maybe we should submit an expedite request for the expedite request?
Or, you can speak to an agent through Emma, only to realize that they are using prewritten answers, templates…
If you get fed up and finally decide to call them, you have to wait forever to get on the phone with them, only to realize that they are literally trained to not give you useful information.
Should we protest? Sue them? give up? not sure if any of this will ever work.

John - I firmly believe that the system is built that way. though it is not fair to generalize as there are exceptions, but USCIS was built on the mentality of rejecting immigrants, especially those on the darker shades. to hide that fact, all immigrants are treated as such. and in the years, tactics have been developed and implemented to make immigrants give up and leave on their own. long processing times getting longer, increased fees keeping increasing, the "we don't care attitude" with a pinch of superiority complex and a zest of god complex when you talk to USCIS. even interviews are tinted. again, let me say it again, not everybody at USCIS is like that and I, myself, have talked to amazing and humane agents/officers over the phone who tried to help me but couldn't past a certain point at that level. there are great people at USCIS, but the agency was built on hating immigrants. and it continues because we can't sue for things that we cannot legally prove. we need a lawyer or a group of lawyers willing to step forward and say, "enough is enough", because immigrants do everything right but we are still held hostages in and by the immigration system, with many of us losing our livelihoods.
Amit - I'm open to your suggestion. the more people we get to do this, then we may at least stand a chance of some light being shed on the immigration system from the legal side because right now we are the forgotten ones, as in politics they're fighting for the illegal ones.

like I am literally suffering from anxiety and depression because of this, I wake up everyday checking USCIS app and lawfully, my ead is expired so I can’t even work, I get up everyday devoid of purpose and feeling useless.
Lilo PelekaiNov 18, 2021
yes, JB, we understand because that's what life becomes in this hostage situation as I call it. and it's not right. I hope you get some great news soon with that EAD!

Lilo, I second you. my suggestion is to create an online campaign, will do some search on weekend what are right platforms. besides we need to write to media reporters/journalists to do story on the plight of immigrants. Families are being taken hostage of this system.

thank you all for sharing all of this!! I think it’s a great idea if we can collect signatures and maybe send that to the government.

Amit and John - this all sounds good to me!
