US citizen-June 2023 petitioner for spouse. Can anyone who has experienced the same situation as me? Please enlighten me.
We are completing 13 months since we submitted our I-130 application in the first week of July, that is, in about a week. I know I shouldn't care about processing time, but today it made a very big jump for the first time. When I logged into my account today, I suddenly saw that the processing time had jumped to 18 months. Is the sudden jumped of the period to 18 months a good sign or a bad thing?

@GOD IS GOOD I feel like I'm in a bottomless pit, like an endless nightmare for a year. All I want is to bring my wife to California with me.

It's normal for timelines to jump. We started this process 9/22 went from a 3months left to its taking longer than expected then we finally approved 10/23. We got DQ(documentarily qualified) by NVC really fast 11/23 but now we are waiting for an (IL)interview letter with the embassy in Dakar. it has been 7 months and no word yet...SUPER FRUSTRATING!! Interview wait times vary and an the actual interview date can be scheduled months out to give you time to complete your medical exam etc. I share this timeline not to discourage you but to give you an idea of what you can expect.I also learned that there is no logic to how this truly goes so best advice is to have all of your paperwork ready and organized it will make the process go smoother. Other than that It is a waiting game my friend good luck to you and your wife. π
