Joint sponsor i-864
I'm working as a self-employed and make about $28K total income on my tax return. Although my income is above poverty guidelines, it is not stable.
I'm filing I-864 on NVC to sponsor my wife.
My question is can I add Joint Sponsor (at first when uploading documents ) if my income is above the guidelines but I know it is not stable?
I don't know how the officer behaves with a self-employed income but is the officer requests for a Joint sponsor in the middle of the process (RFE) if the income doesn’t meet?

How is your process going? I’m in the same situation as you. My lawyer told me that they go by Adjusted Gross Income, not Total Income. So you $28k would be lower after your business deductions.
