submit a request to terminate your case and have it sent to USCIS or wait until your next court date and file your 1485 through the court and go before the judge to have your case heard if i485 is approved by the judge you will get your card much faster

@ Riz I have my case in court already the hearing date always been postponed many times next hearing is sept 2024 .

@Hey freeman, you can terminate your case at the court by using prosecutorial discretion and go a head and finish with uscis much faster . Courts are taking forever. They just wasting human lives.

@freeman 1 I have been waiting for 6 months now and nothing happen I asked my lawyer multiple time to file directly with the court and he keep going around and offer to file the 2nd joint.motion which he never did. so it come to an end. I fired him and ask for all paper work and apparently he never file to dhs its all bullshit to keep me going arpund wasting 6 months of my life. I am with a new lawyer now much faster and easy to reach and questions been answer easier. my new lawyer already file the joint motion and will wait up to 1 month if we hear nothing he will file it directly with the judge

@GeeGee L hmmm we on same boat . my lawyer actually filed it bcos I requested a copy of the letter he sent and he emailed it to me but my problem is that he refused to follow up with it. this is someone I paid 9000$ . I will I could fire him but I don’t have they finanacial capacity to do so right now . how much did u pay a new lawyer ? it’s really frustrating and disheartening. hopefully we will smile again this new year coming .

@mon c I think the reason of these lawyers that don't want to file the motion directly to the court is that they need more money they wait for you to offer more to file directly

@freeman 1 I actually email the ICE attorney 2 weeks ago and he reply that he is assigned to my case and still working on it. so yesterday feb2 my lawyer said he agree to joint the motion and asked my lawyer to draft him the paperwork my lawyer sent to him the same.day and 30 mins after the ICE signed! my lawyer is now sent paper to the court. I strongly believe that my previous lawyer didn't do shit. He said he sent on June 23 but I never see prove on that. you make ask your lawyer to file with ice again and also to bcc the email to you as well. then talk to your lawyer that you will wait only 4-6weeks if you don't hear anything from ICE then you would prefer the court

@freeman 1 I got the immigration attorney email from my previous lawyer. I asked him to show me a prove that he really file otherwise he need to refund me the unearned portion. so he quickly sent me(I know it's a made up one,many grammar errors and spell my name wrong) anyway I saw the email address so I bite the bullet and sent the email to DHS by the way you not suppose to because you have your lawyer and the communication should go through your lawyer only but he was kind enough and answer me also agree to joint the motion 2 weeks later.

@Jimmy St I sent motion to ice on June 2023 never hear back so file again on Dec 2023 with new lawyer ice joint the montion 5 weeks after. now still.waiting on the judge it's been 2 weeks already

@Jimmy St I got DHS joint motion on the second filed like 4-5 weeks after. now the motion already sent to the judge in Buffalo NY (2½ weeks already) once it's get to the court you can check on status at eior website but my lawyer said it won't be updat until the judge sign. my lawyer expect to take about a month if we hear nother from judge he will call the court and speak to the clerk

@freeman 1 lawyer is lying at this point he could definitely file directly with the court. you have i130 approved that's is enough to file. also ask to see a copy of the email your lawyer set to ice attorney just to see if he really file. I am still waiting for the adjustment process it's been just 1 month so I guess I have to wait somw more

@freeman 1 Goodluck. if you pay them for the whole process which included greencard process you can ask for the unearned portion from them so you can take your money and get other attorney hope everything its clear out for you very soon
