joint bank accounts
what bank accounts in the US allow non US residents to open a bank account etc? my wife and I want to open a joint bank account for a house deposit but last year when I was there the bank she is with ( chase bank ) wouldn’t let us do it because I had nothing with a home address on paper for them to use etc, any ideas?

simple for the home address if ya have water bill? just call the company and add your name on the bill or just add your name and the list if ya have house or apartment then take to chase I prefer chase bank than any other bank

@K 🇺🇸 D 🇭🇳 First, obtain an ITIN for your spouse. Next add them as a member which will allow you to use your American address as theirs.. Next request a joint bank using the above mentioned information. If you get push back, elevate your case to membership services. I recall being told no also but I learned long ago to never accept no from someone who never had the power to say yes in the first place. 🙏🏼
