It's unfair to some of us
While I'm genuinely happy for some that do get approved fast but isn't it unfair to some of us that USCIS has no particular order in approving cases? Some of us are being ignored. Imagine that while you wait for your EAD, someone applies 8months after you and BOOM they get approved in 40 days and you're still waiting. They are same category with you and there is nothing you can do about it. Imagine being on a queue and the cases immediately before and after yours get approved while yours is skipped. Where on earth is this fair? And we are being treated like this cos we're awaiting documentation. Can they treat citizens like this? Y'all know how impatient Americans are. I give up on USCIS!

Try expedition. If you’ve tried before, try again!! Gather all past due bills you have especially any medical related in the past year as evidence.

Hello@Tina Au I believe the circumstances related to each and every case are quite unique and very distinct. At first glance, these cases may all seem alike, but trust me, on a much closer look, they are very different. For me, I rejoice each time someone is able to pass through the USCIS eye of the needle. Your turn will soon come and we will all rejoice with you. Just be patient and have faith👌🤞👌Peace&Love👏🤞👌

@vp vpe 2 people might apply for the exact same immigration benefit and pay the same fee. One person has a criminal history and the other does not. The timeline and outcome might not be same. Each and every case has it's unique characteristics that may not be visible at first glance. That's all I'm saying. Hope you have a great day.👌👌👌
Tina AuMay 16, 2023
@Pepertua A Thanks. I've to have waited for a year before expediting. I'm about 10mths
Tina AuMay 16, 2023
@Hopefully hopeful thank you for your kind words. You understand the true meaning of community. I just needed to get it out there. Thanks again

@Tina Au I feel the same way every single day. keep the faith. my PD is April 25th last year. I sent 3 expedite requests and the only one they responded to was the one I did through the Congressman on April 10 and they replied saying they will be sending my case for expedited processing. So waiting again to see when any change will be made.
Hopefully hopefulMay 17, 2023
@vp vpe Peace and love. Hope we all get our approval soonest, so we can move on with our American dream🤞🤞🤞

I hear you. hope we receive soon. I am just waiting for the approved AP card for 4 months to be delivered. imagine it has only 12 months validity. maybe I should directly apply for a renewal card now. feeling disappointed and frustrated
Tina AuMay 17, 2023
@BB 2023 wow! that's crazy! Did you try contacting USCIS? What if it's lost in transit? I'd be itching to use my AP within a month cos I NEED to see the people I left back home
Empress HMay 18, 2023
@Hopefully hopeful I use to believe they do but being on here it doesn't seems so it seems to be whichever office and officer receive a person's case......I know people AOs as me same case type file same as me and they got tru way before me what could be the uniqueness?
Gabe AveraMay 18, 2023
i hope to submit these comments to support your case doc.

@Tina Au I am trying every day as I don’t have any other options. still in vain. the card was never delivered out from uscis office. today the status changed to finger prints applied to the case. though the case was approved on Feb9th
amanda cMay 20, 2023
yeah I hate it. we're at the last step now, waiting for our visa to be issued. and someone who applied 8 months after us (and had an RFE. we didn't) now has their visa in hand. while we still wait. it's so unfair
Sandy ChenMay 20, 2023
totally agree with you. my pd is 11/07/2022. and still now there’s no EAD. while others got 485 approve within 3 months…
jade jaggerMay 20, 2023
I completely agree. we've been waiting since August 2021. it's really unfair that those who file after get approved first .
ryo sanMay 21, 2023
@Tina Au i agree to the fullest. i have seen some who got fingerprinted the same day and within hours they got EAd approval too.
v hMay 21, 2023
If you’ve done your research, you’d know there’s a pilot program launched over a year ago to allow USCIS officers to approve quality immigration cases ahead of everyone else, i.e. no complicated immigration issues. That is also why you’re seeing so many recent cases that were able to skip the line and get approved so soon. Understood the frustrations but the only explanation to this unique situation is that other cases are just better packaged and/or less messy than yours.
However, you also have to keep it in mind that the mission for USCIS is to slow down the overall immigration process while approving qualified applicants. Since it’s a highly sensitive political topic, the only key to make everyone happy is finding a balance and keeping things under control.

I applied for vawa along with three of my kids and to my surprise, the childrens application that was received 03/30/23 has been acknowledged but mine has not been acknowledged to have been received. Tjis is strange or how else does one explain this?

How I feel everyday.. i’ve been waiting since dec 2021. Seeing how others get approved after few months.. as someone with pending green card is like living a life full of uncertainty. it gives me a little comfort that im

Hey there.
in my point of view i can say it's not yet your time to get approved i mean y'all don't have the same chance, somebody maybe luckier or less lucky than you so just pray in what you belive in and being positif.

I don't understand the anger. Nobody wants to wait even a day but we don't live in a perfect world. You want that not anybody else, and what you want is up to the government. The government is known for the long processes and bureaucracy. What you are doing is taking a tiny substrata of lucky applicants to represent the whole situation, life isn't fair, people don't get the same start line in life, some are ahead and some are way behind. You should have done your research about time frames long before you apply, this is not Amazon Prime, you will have to wait just like 99% of the people and if you have any concerns you could talk to a lawyer. This is coming from personal experience, been waiting for 9 years before getting where I am now, hopefully at the finish line. I understand the tempt to complain but realize that most living people don't even have the chance to do what you are doing here.
Tina AuMay 28, 2023
@ni chi you seem not to understand the difference between anger and frustration. Secondly, I don't know the level of your education and how deep you research systems and processes. Else, you'd have been able to know that an EAD that hasn't been approved in more than 10mths is in the 10th percentile. I'd explain further...90% of the cases would have already been approved in that time frame! I understand you don't mind the complacency of waiting 10years for whatever document but that's your own approach to life and doesn't empower you to downplay other people's emotions. I write what I want on MY profile, you should write on how happy you are waiting for a decade on YOUR page, and not come here and try to insinuate that anyone complaining about 10mths wait for an EAD is being impatient or has not done their homework!
@Luckboy AMay 29, 2023
God will see us through the frustration is too much still waiting during this process lost both of my parents back home shit sad
Tina AuMay 29, 2023
I see that almost everyone is with me on this. I pray today that the Heavens and God Almighty agree with us too and release our approvals in a matter of days IJN!
Tina AuMay 29, 2023
@Adegbenga Adesipo I'm so sorry for your losses. At times, that fear comes over me. God please, I don't wanna lose anyone cos I cant travel home yet. It will totally break me!
@Luckboy AMay 30, 2023
@Tina Au Amen the struggle is real but With God all things are possible 🙏…This uscis don’t just care about all this we’re going through I guess smh
B WJun 3, 2023
hi tina! sorry about your frustration! I just checked your past posts and maybe the reason why your process is getting delayed is because your husband is currently unemployed and that might be a red flag! maybe some other people who got their cases approved faster got stronger cases. I have a friend who filed one week before me, but I received the EAD one month after filing, she received like 5 months after….. I’m not sure what the real reason was but our cases weren’t the same… she came thru tourist visa and got married really fast, whereas I came with student visa and didn’t marry till one year later ish….
sooo, my point is that yeah, maybe some are very lucky but some other might have stronger cases :)! your time will come!!!!
ni chiJun 3, 2023
I had more time to educate myself than I wish had. Again, if you knew anything about immigration you would know that many people don't even receive their EAD card regardless of of them applying for one. It is really up to the officer that's reviewing your case, officers are not even required to work the cases in the order they have been received. Many officers do their job going by book and update your case with every little movement but many don't bother even changing status up until you are scheduled for an interview. Long story short is it really depends who's gonna pick up your pile of documents at the office and that's why you see how every case is being handled differently. Again, It's too early for you to be frustrated no matter how much you want to complain, facts don't care about your emotions. Buckle up, immigration is not mcdonalds drive thru.

You are absolutely delusional to think anybody would be happy with a decade of bureaucracy. I haven't said a single bad word to you, I really hope your case moves with the speed you want it to move. You post here, be happy there are people with some experience giving you answers, even tho not what you want to hear, it's still giving you at least an idea and direction of how things are working.

Good evening friends, I filled my I 130, in May 2021, till now saying your case was actively reviewed on 06/2021 2yrs, past some lawyers told that I had to file with I 485 of which my lawyer said I can't because I have a pending case in immigration court right I'm really not sure what to do, if any one ever went through this kind of please advise me, thx
