This does seem like a very long time for this to be adjudicated. Albeit expensive you may want to consider suing Uscis for them to give you a decision.

submit inquiry via local congress, or you can sue USCIS for a delayed case on your own, you will get a decision within 60 days. Do youtube search to learn more about it, and to get assistance with it "Writ of Mandamus Pro Se"

we submitted a request to senator+multiple inquiries and they keep moving forward the next date to inquire. now they said 6 MORE months
