Is your L-1 to H-1B COS considered abandoned if you pursue extension of L-1?
I'm waiting for my change of status (COS) from L-1 to H-1B since the last 3 months. It seems like before USCIS provides a decision on my COS, I will need to begin my L-1 extension. Is my COS petition considered abandoned if I pursue an L-1 extension? Do I have to go through the lottery again to get the H-1B?
