is there a similar 11 month trend for AOS (485 & 130s) as there are for 130 standalone?
I know a lot of 130s get approved right around the 11 month mark, but it’s hard to tell if those are all standlone or if also AOS. anyone know? I’m at 10.5 months and wondering if I’m close. still rotting away at NBC.

@w s are you sure your case has not been transferred to field office? is interview waived?
w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸Mar 28, 2024
yes I’m sure. I asked Emma a while ago and I’m pretty sure that “my progress” changes to some other false number of months when it gets moved. Emma said my interview was waived but she lies. I have 2 kids and 9 years of history with my husband so I doubt I’ll get an interview.

@w s I am not sure if NBC can directly approve a marriage green card without it going to field office for final decision. Approval notices can only come from NBC and not field offices so when you get approved, and you see a letter of approval from NBC it creates an illusion for many people which makes them think NBC actually made the decision. Instead the Field office makes the final adjudication and returns the approved file to NBC, to send approval notices and most importantly the actual card. However, some people say NBC can approve it without going to field office, I am confused about this.

@Way Maker yea I’m not sure either. I’m pretty sure it gets transferred to a field office. but who knows. nothing is clear

@w s NBC adjudicates on auxiliary applications like the I 765 and I 131 but adjustment of status applications are definitely adjudicated by the field office in your local jurisdiction. Of course if the workload is heavy in your local field office and NBC had waived your interview, to balance the workload, they can send it to a non local field office to speed up the process since they anticipate an interview will not be required. But the final decision always lies with the field officer who will adjudicate your case who has been trained for this. If the case is straightforward, and there are no other issues that arise, then it is highly likely that the field officer will follow NBC’s waiver recommendation, and approve the application. my thoughts, atleast from research

@w s you have an electronic application IOE, transfer to field office is done digitally. your case can be transferred today and you are approved in a day. so your approval is coming anytime. I know that! hang in there, it’s coming
