IR1
hey everyone, I’m just curious, my wife and I will be married for 2 years in May 2025, since our i130 hasn’t been approved yet I’m assuming it’s gonna be possible for our interview date to be after the 2 years, does that mean that we would be put into the IR1 visa catergory instead of the CR1 like we originally were applying for?

@Jacob Needham If your I-130 is approved after the 2nd anniversary of your marriage then you will get a 10 year greencard which is IR1

@Rocco Forté What if I-130 gets approved before 2nd anniversary but you get approved for visa after the 2nd year?

@Carlos Cuarto We were automatically switched to IR1 visa.

@Jacob Needham I think if your marriage is below 2 years when your visa was issued but above 2 years when you enter on that visa then you should get a 10 year greencard.
