IR1 - Consular processing
Our I-130 petition (USC filling for spouse) Has been under active review for six months now at California Center. Our PD 01/01/2022. I heard that consular processing is usually faster than adjustment of status, but it seems not. Anyone got approved recently?

it’s faster and less hassle. K1 petitions are taking a lot longer. everything is taking long unfortunately.

We got married in the States. We are applying for IR1. We thought that our I-130 petition will be processed in less than 6 months, but it s taking longer than expected!

it hasn’t been 6 months for the last 2 years. processing has been very slow since 2020. did you guys check this information before getting married ?

we got married in 2019 before COVID-19. But we didn't submit our petition at that time, as we both were attending college.

all that matters is when you submitted your application. if submitted after 2020, unfortunately it can take years to get an answer. my application was just approved after submitting it almost 2.5 years ago FEB2020

Wow! that's really a long waiting time! I m glad it is approved now! was it through consular processing or adjustment of status?

I hate this seriously. Family needs to be United. I am really desperate hearing these things like I just submitted the application last week And I’ll be away from my wife for years!!!! this is insane
