Intimate Danger
I don't know what I should do facing a life and death situation with my husband as we continue to wait for USCIS to adjudicate our I130 Spouse visa application. Since I filed my I130 visa application last October 12, 2022, my husband who lives in Gambia has sustained 3 severe attacks and beatings because he is LBGTQ and legally married to a US citizen. He has even had to endure an acid attack. His attacks have never been life threatening but he has had teeth knocked out, his legs severely scuffed up and his right eye damaged from the acid attack. I have pleated in writing to Senator Marco Rubio's Miami office and each time his office refuses to help. I reached out to USCIS 14 times pleading for help with an expedite request and not one time have I ever heard from USCIS asking for documentation of the attacks. I reached out to President Biden office pleading for help with no response. I reached out to Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick my house of representative in April of this year and her office has verified my claims but still hasn't done anything. I'm scared to death that my husband's life is going to be taken by these thugs while the US government sits back doing nothing to help me. Homeland Security completed our background check on August 26, 2023 and show in their system that my husband will be here by Christmas and USCIS still doesn't show this process completed. Is there anyone who can give me some advice on what to do
