interviewed today and got approved on spot
married to LPR, FO SJ.
i had my interview today the IO was super nice and polite. He even helped me research my immagration questions during the interview.
the whole process was conversational. no tricky questions at all. went through my i130 and 485 applications and confirmed there’s no changes to those. asked how did we start our relationship, did we met each other’s parents, when did we move in together, it it our first marriage, did we ever have kids. he asked if we have additional marriage supports. we did prepare a whole folder for him. We went though our photo album together while he was also tying things into his computer. he said he would make a decision today. he took our joint tax return only and asked us to keep the remaining supports with us as he’s got enough supports in his folder.
I asked him if there’s anything else he needs, he’s like no, and asked if we watch a TV show. we did and we chatted on that shows for a while. then he said congrats you are approved. Online status changed to New Card is Being Produced in two hours.

congratulations! this is great to hear. my interview is next week. I'm so nervous! my wife doesnt want to prepare for the questions as she thinks that there is nothing to worry about since our marriage is real and nothing to hide. she thinks I'm overthinking it :/

if you guys don’t remember dates or have diffenrent memories on certain things, there’s a chance the officer may think your marriage is fake or hold it for review. the interview is very important and wouldn’t want to risk that. we spent a lot of time preparing the questions people posted here. I’d rather overpreparing than underpreparing. just because your marriage is real doesn’t mean you don’t need to prepare for it. your case is considered fake until proven real.
