interview was completed and case must be reviewed
Hi everyone,
I had my marriage based green card interview in Memphis,TN back in 08/14/2020.We felt interview went well however We was told she need to send it for supervisor approval and will hear decision in 120 days.Iam sitting here over a year now..I had raised a few out of processing time requests and the answer is simply they need to review background check and can't make decision at this time.I spoke to Emma today and was told by live agent that my case is processing at New Orleans, LA. It's not over yet ,And when I spoke to live person on phone I was told it is processing at NBC ..I am totally confused what is going on with my case at this point...Does anyone heard or experienced this situation before.. Please share your thoughts..

normally they have 120 days to make a decision but yours is more than a year now you need to threaten a mandamus or actually file one. you need a lawyer to do it for you

same here, interview have been completed and case must be reviewed. for over 6month. Made an enquiry and was told the case is stuck on background check and nothing is needed from us. How did they issue the EAD if background wasn’t completed.

I think they do this intentionally, usually a background check at most takes a month. An immigration lawyer told me this. they find every possible means to delay cases.

It seems right..They obviously don't like some information I provided in my application and want to verify?Even they have to verify it shouldn't take this long..

hello to all.
my case is similar.
interview March 2021.
after interview we got a RFE.
July 2021 RFE response summited to local field office.
waiting game.
Nov 2021 case pending for background check.

am in New Orleans too and I have been waiting 5mths after interview I was told my case in those two places you mentioned

Well, After bugging them with 20 out of processing requests,I finally received a response saying that I would hear a decision within 90 days.
