Interview scheduled šŸ™ŒšŸ™
Hey everyone, just wanted to share an update! My PD was May 9th, I did my biometrics on June 4th, and I just got my interview scheduled for August 14th. I’m feeling a little nervous, but I’m trusting that everything will work out—both for me and for all of us still waiting. šŸ™šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø ( BOSTON-MA Field )

K. F.Jul 9, 2025
@fernanda grande Thank you. Also, I’m Brazilian, and maybe that helped speed things up a bit. They say it can depend on the country you’re from.
K. F.Jul 9, 2025
@Anna B Thank you!! I’m definitely making sure everything is in order. It’s a bit nerve-wracking, but I’m staying positive. Appreciate the good vibes! šŸ™Œ

@K. F. I’m Brazilian too! hoping for a speedy journey for the both of us. did you get your i765 approved?
K. F.Jul 9, 2025
@Anna B Yes! I actually made an album with a bunch of photos of us from the beginning of our relationship. I lost my old visa with my passport a long time ago, but I have the new passports and I also have pictures of the visa that I can print and bring. I really hope everything goes well—thank you for the advice! I also have my I-94 with me from when I was a student, I’ve kept everything saved.
K. F.Jul 9, 2025
@fernanda grande Yeah, I figured you were Brazilian too because of your name—that’s why I mentioned it! My 765 hasn’t been approved yet, I’m still waiting. I don’t really get how they scheduled the interview before approving it, but hopefully everything works out for both of us! šŸ™

did you get any RFE for form I-485? My paperwork was noted accepted from USCIS ON May 6th but still didn’t have anything updated yet
K. F.Jul 9, 2025
@Dong Nguyen No, I didn’t get any RFE for my I-485. My priority date was May 9th, I did biometrics on June 4th, and I already got my interview scheduled for August 14th. My I-765 still hasn’t been approved though, which I find a bit confusing—but I guess each case moves differently. Hopefully you get some updates soon too! šŸ™
Anna BJul 9, 2025
@K. F. yes u need the visa I lost my passport as well and I had a old copy of it and she asked for it so yes you definitely need it goodluck and Godspeed hope everything workout
K. F.Jul 9, 2025
@Anna B Thank you for your advice—it really means a lot. Yes, I’ll bring a copy of my visa and everything you mentioned. I just hope that everyone here waiting for their documents keeps praying, because God is faithful and never fails. šŸ™
K. F.Jul 9, 2025
@Dong Nguyen Hey, I totally understand your curiosity, but I’m not really comfortable sharing my receipt number or too much personal info publicly. I hope that doesn’t come off as rude—I just prefer to keep some details private. Just to give you a bit of context, I’m married to a U.S. citizen, and we’ve been together for five years now. I came to the U.S. as a student and studied here from 2018 to 2020. I filed my I-485 on May 9th, did my biometrics on June 4th, and just got my interview scheduled for August 14th. My I-765 still hasn’t been approved, which is a bit confusing, but every case moves at its own pace. I’m wishing you the best with your process too. I’m really rooting for everyone here—may God bless us all through this journey! šŸ™

Anna BJul 9, 2025
what your not suppose to share reciept number that’s extremely private information like complex information bruh
K. F.Jul 9, 2025
@Anna B Exactly, that’s what I thought too. It’s a bit too personal to share something like that. I just hope he didn’t get upset—I wasn’t trying to be rude, it just caught me off guard that he asked for that kind of info.
Anna BJul 9, 2025
@K. F. I mean, that is literally case sensitive information. Maybe if he said he wanted like the first three letters you know how your case starts with IOE or like MSC that’s fine but like the entirety of the case number not even my mom or any of my family members is privy to that information lol but I completely understand what you’re saying like yeah sorry buddy

ParabƩns!
K. F.Jul 10, 2025
@Anna B Yes, you’re right, and my case starts with IOE. I hope he didn’t get upset. That’s why I explained my case to him up there, but he deleted his comment. If anyone has any questions, feel free to reach out to me here. I just can’t share my receipt number or anything like that, but I’m here to help and I’m rooting for everyone.

@K. F. how was your interview?
K. F.Sep 5, 2025
@R F We got to our USCIS interview at 2:00pm (our scheduled time), but we weren’t called in until around 3:20pm. The officer first called my wife in alone, asked her all the relationship questions, and then brought me in separately to go through the same ones. She covered our story — how we met, our wedding, daily life, bills, travels — and also reviewed our documents and photos. At the end, she told us verbally that we were approved. She also mentioned that my visa had been revoked back in 2019 because I was a student and left school (I didn’t even know that!), but she corrected it right there. I also had 3 court cases that were dismissed, which she saw in the system. Then she asked me to sign something on a tablet — not sure if everyone signs that, but it made me a bit nervous lol. Up until today nothing has changed in the portal, so I’m still waiting for the official update šŸ™. Did you also have to sign the tablet at your interview?

what is said on the website?
fernanda grande6h
@K. F. I did sign the tablet at my interview as well. Hoping you get an approval soon!! my husband was told he didn’t need to come in and she only went over the i485 questions. I had two cases that were dismissed in 2014 but there was an error on the docket and only showed one being dismissed. Officer said she was going to try to approve me but needed to review and it could result in a rfe. Which it did and I responded promptly. They received my rfe response two weeks ago and I still haven’t heard anything other than confirmation that they received it.

@fernanda grande Thank you for sharing your experience, Fernanda šŸ™. It really helps to hear that you also had to sign the tablet. I hope everything works out smoothly for you and your husband soon. Wishing you a quick approval too!
